About Tyler Ballard

Tyler Ballard began writing music in 2011, in his basement where he wrote all of his songs. All of his music is original and was composed on guitar. He collaborated with his choir director Chris Tolbert and recorded numerous demos over the course of the years 2011-2014. His love for R&B began at a very young age. He heard Jamie Foxx's "Infatuation" June 7, 1999 on a rerun of The Arsenio Hall Show on The WB. Which later lead to him purchasing Jamie Foxx's debut "Peep This" on cassette that same year. Other influences include Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson, Prince, & Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy. Tyler can play various instruments; Guitar, Bass, Piano & drums. In 2016, Tyler Ballard received an opportunity that he has worked so hard for. He came into contact with a producer by the name of Pal Sheldon owner of Artec Sound Vision Recording Studios. His promoter gave him an online directory of recording studios varied from Louisville, to Atlanta, New York, to Tennessee. Tennessee is like a second home to him so naturally he began looking for resources. From Omnisound Recording Studios where Lionel Richie recorded all of his records including his #1 hit "Hello." To The Recording Shop in downtown Nashville. His next listing was Pal Sheldon of Artec Sound Vision Recording Studios. His instinct told him that he had made the right decision. For 4 months straight, he began practicing night & day in preparation for the recording of his debut record "Love Charm." July 7th, 2016 Tyler Ballard headed down to Nashville, Tennessee and this was only the beginning for him. Pal gave him advice for improvement whether it was to project his voice, sing airy to make his voice sound softer. Tyler became a better artist, producer & musician from Pal's advice. We started off with the first song "Play With Your Heart." It was a break up song about one of his exes he dated back in May of 2015. "Flashback" was next up, this was a very personal song for him. When he was born Tyler was diagnosed with a severe case of Hydrocephlaus (Water on The Brain.) Fluid filled up 98% of his brain. Cerebral Palsy; Tyler has a weakness on his left side. He walks with a limp and his left arm is weaker than his right. When he was 2, Tyler had a Brain Injury which he later had a cranioplasty which doctors operated on him for 8 1/2 hours. They reshaped his head putting it back together like a puzzle. Tyler has been seizure free for 15 years and his medicine was regulated to prevent anymore tragedies.

"I Promise" was the next song and is the most soulful track on Love Charm. Tyler became known as the White Boy With Soul after this because his voice is very sultry & smooth. "Classy Girl" which is a tribute to R&B back in the 1990's was the fourth song off of Love Charm. The line at the end of the first verse says "You've got me begging like Keith Sweat." Tyler's voice is very strong and powerful which he expresses this on the final song for the record

"Until Then." This song is Gospel and is a tribute to his Grandfather who passed away January 21st, 2016. Tyler's love for Gospel began in High School. He began listening to Marvin Sapp, & Kirk Franklin. Tyler & Pal finished Love Charm in exactly 8 hours. He was asked by Pal if Tyler would like to be one of his permanent clients. Now every summer, Tyler has a recording spot in the Music City from this point forward. The song "I Promise was later remixed in April of 2017 by DJ Party All Wknd. In 2017, Tyler released his follow up to Love Charm Inside Out hosted by DJ Party All Wknd. Tyler was always about Unity, Peace, Love & bringing people together. He has loved Black Women since age 9, but kept his dating lifestyle a secret until age 14 because of his grandparents beliefs. "Mystery Girl" was written when Tyler was 18 years old in his friends basement. "She's The Bo$$" is a remaster from 2015 originally titled "She's Got It Going On." engineered by local Record Producer David Le of Bourbon Barrel Studios. Cookies 'n' Cream is a club banger about Tyler's love for Interracial Dating which is very precious to him. Medicine is a gospel ballad about Tyler's personal life. With him living with a disability Tyler was never accepted by society. He financially struggled for years because no one would hire a man with a disability.

For Your Love is a 2015 remaster that was originally recorded by engineer David Le which was re recorded in 2017 for Inside Out.
