Spear was polish, Łódź-based project specializing in "anthemic songs based on trip-hop beats". It was formed in 1992 by Maciej Ożóg (b. 1971). Spear's first album "In Search Of Sparks" appeared in 1997 and was followed by "Dark Waters Of Light" (1998), "Of Silence" (1999) and "Saphire Flower" (2001). At present, Maciej Ożóg is a member of the Ben Zeen duo.
"These songs relay on alchemical methods of sound preparation and strategies of industrial experiments, you just have to dig its other depths and dive into supermundane, oneiric sounds. Beautiful example of a solid experminetal basis and complex, uncompromising pop of a highest quality."
