About TreSis
Tr3sis (pronounced Tre-sis meaning tre' sisters) consist of 3 biological sisters from New Jersey.
Shelina, the oldest sister and founder of the group, started then refered to as pantomiming to thier favorite groups in the 90s.. She didn't know at the time, by telling her mother she wanted it that her request would take these sisters from pretending to sing to professional recording artist in just 2 short years...and with their mothers' expertise as a singer herself, the rehearsals began!
Starting out as First Request, the singing group consisted of sister Starr , cousin Tasha Weaver and friend Lisa Rios. After Lisa decided that she no longer wanted to be apart of the group, Shelese, the youngest sister, took her spot and their name changed to Simply Precious.
They began singing, dancing and performing to their own music at various events. The group was eventually approached to audition for multiple major recording labels including Atlantic Records where Sylvia Rhone,who after watching Simply Precious audition, signed them on the spot.
They received material and worked with producers and artists including , Changing Faces, Chris Stokes, Marques Houston ,Brandy and Dave Hall to name a few. However, after being signed for three years twith no single release, they were left with no choice but to leave the label. At this time their cousin Tasha decided to leave the group.
Tr3Sis consisting of sisters Shelina, Star & Shelese are born!!
Continuing on to perform at various sporting events they were asked to for several NBA games performing their saught after rendition of the Star Spangled Banner. Tr3Sis has opened for several music concerts and was extended an invitation and the honor to open for country music star Randy Travis in a special tribute to the fallen heros of 9-11.
In 2010 Tr3SIS decided to follow the lead of other mainstream industry artist by taking matters into their own hands to showcase their writing & vocal arrangement abilities.
"Set It Off" The Mixtape by Tr3Sis (of which the sisters wrote, arranged & engineered themselves), was released in 2010 to rave reviews They received such positive feedback that they are to re-release it titled "Set It Off" The Remix April 2012 with additional tracks & some of the publics favorites extended!!
Currently working with super producer 12keyz & writing alongside fellow R&B artist like Robert Curry of DAY26 (of MTV's MTB4 fame), Tr3Sis is constantly working on new material Tand are focused on fusing the ever so absent R&B, with a little POP!
Awaiting the approval on their reality show, they are currently being filmed showing their focus and thriving determination to reach their ultimate goal ....To take over the music scene, bringing back R&B to its truest form!
Tr3Sis is now back on the scene with their new single "What U Need" available now on Itunes and other online stores alike. They are not currently signed; however, looking for a major deal that will appreciate their hard work & dedication as artist & or a independent that can do the same.
