Georgia born, multi-instrumentalist Sam French is a veteran musician performing "original" music. Having composed over 600 songs (at the time this bio was written), he has worked throughout the Southeast since 1995. Sam has sold thousands of compact discs, downloads, t-shirts, etc...building a loyal following along the way. Playing music that sounds familiar even if you never heard it before, Sam has found a way to play "his" music in a world where cover bands seem to get more work. Solo acoustic? Three piece? Six piece? From bluegrass to metal, from reggae to funk...Sam French can bring it. Featuring a blend of seasoned, professional musicians and marathon shows, every night is a new experience. Sam French has had the privilege of opening for the following artists: Marshall Tucker Band, David Allen Coe, The Neville Brothers/Big willie Green, The Doors/Robbie Krieger, P-Funk Allstars/Randy Skinner, Merle Saunders, J.G.B/Jerry Garcia Band, Melvin Seals, Christopher Cross, Stuck Mojo/Bones, Al Stewart, Ambrosia, Eric Heatherly, Jupiter Coyote, Sound Tribe Sector Nine, Gary Wright, Col. Bruce Hampton, and many more. Sam proudly abuses Gibson, Paul Reed Smith, Ken Parker, and Fender guitars, as well as Peavey, Orange, and Fender amplifiers.
