Fed koncertoplevelse! Dejligt at se, at de blå blomster er på vej tilbage efter en længere periode på bænken:) Deres musik har et tempo og en kompleksitet som gør den til en udfordring at opføre live. Det lykkedes de “nogenlunde” med. Bassen var indimellem alt for kraftig og blokerede for vokalen. Faktisk gik den i selvsving engang i mellem. Uden at være fagmand vil jeg sige den hænger på samarbejdet mellem band og lydmand. Heldigvis var størstedelen af koncerten en stor oplevelse og trommeslageren var for mig en stor overraskelse. Sikke en energi. Fede guitar rifs, vilde vokale fremførelser og fede numre. Indimellem lige en tand for twisted og dissonant gil at jeg helt kunne give mig hen, men stadig glad for at vi var med. Glæder mig til at følge rejsen :)

Danish dream-rock group Blaue Blume was born in the city of Kolding in central Denmark in the late 2000s, when school-friends Søren Buhl Lassen and Jonas Smith joined forces to make music together (their current line-up is Lassen and Smith, plus Robert Jensen Buhl and Buster Jensen). The members recognised a spark in each other, a sensation of something special that Søren saw even from the first rehearsal: “It instantly felt like this could be a band, even though we weren’t yet“.
Now a decade on from that moment, that feeling has spread from the rehearsal space to fans around Europe and beyond, through two EPs and two albums, as well as hundreds of live shows. Blaue Blume work in heartfelt, sweeping art-rock, lush, dramatic compositions personified by vocalist Smith’s tender but tough, emotionally affecting falsetto.
