José Soto

Born in Costa Rica in 1984, José Soto is a visionary pianist, composer, and educator. He is driven by the goal of creating socially aware music that betters society and fearlessly ventures into uncharted territories, experimenting with classical, Latin American rhythms, improvisation, and jazz. José studied at prestigious institutions such as the New England Conservatory and Berklee College of Music. He has taught, performed, and toured nationally and internationally, collaborating with renowned artists such as Francisco Mela, George Garzone, Luciana Souza, Chico Pinheiro, Danilo Perez, Cheo Feliciano, and Eddie Daniels. José currently teaches at Berklee College of Music and Curry College.
