When most fell victim or became products of their environments, Handler used the streets of Brooklyn as a tool of advancement. Having witnessed life at it’s realest, seeing friends and family cut down in their prime. After trying his had at venturing into illicit street dealings Mic Handz found the street was not a satisfying fit. Early on Mic Handz realized he was able to parlay his experiences into various creative outlets and make his own choices. In light of of his new discovery Mic Handz chose to rise above statistically cultural and personal adversity and set an example. Handz chose to tap into his creativity and show the world what he saw through his eyes. A poet of the streets, with a story that could not be silenced. Mic Handz is making a way for himself with the attitude that has always reflected that he can and will accomplish whatever goals he set his mind to. Not many MC’s can boast to have graced the pages of today’s leading publications like Vibe magazine, XXL, The Source, and several others. Mic Handz has been featured as a model for several major clothing brands, including his own line called Intellect. Before the onslaught of rappers-turned-designers, Mic Handz had already established himself as a fashion-force to be reckoned with. Starting with the couture fashion house Mochachino, his design input was crucial in the structuring of their seasons and in his own development. Mic Handz also headed up the Pepsi Clothing team as their head designer. In a time when rappers are starting to look towards other avenues to broaden their mass appeal, Mic Handz has already broken ground as a featured actor in the cult-classic “Ghetto Dawgz 2”, which was critically well received. Having been one of the only new artists to acquire multiple national endorsement deals including Joe Rodeo Diamond Watches and ProStudio app for the Apple Store Mic Handz has also done commercial and folly work lending his vocal and writing ability to commercials and television spots for Herbal Essence,Burger King, McDonalds, TBS,HBO and Pepsi to name a few. When it comes to positioning and branding these are easily opportunities artists signed to major labels tend to only dream of. His greatest love, music, is what propels him. The pursuit of his passion for music only superseded by his love of god is what has made all of his accomplishments possible. Not only is he a talented MC, but he is also a respectable tenor/baritone vocalist.
