George Simpson is a singer/songwriter born and bred in the Leicestershire market town of Melton Mowbray. George is one of the UK’s top under the radar solo artists. His debut album ‘Playing for Strangers’ was released in early 2013 and the well crafted, professionally produced, and Abbey Road mastered L.P, is a collection of some of George’s finest work. 2013 Last year saw to great developments in George's fledgeling songwriting career with several songs being used for TV and films, and his debut single's music video being play listed for 4 weeks on Sub TV (exclusive student union music channel) The album’s first single ‘Never Leave You Out In The Rain’ received national airplay on BBC Radio 2′s Jeremy Vine show and 'Good Morning Sunday' and other album tracks such as ‘Vision of Our Lives’ 'You Make Me Feel Good' & ‘Crazy’ have all received recognition from BBC Introducing’s “The Beat’ with 4 tracks being played between 2013/14. George also featured on BBC Radio London's Simon Lederman show where he performed 'Never Leave You Out in the rain & Crazy. 2014/2015 George spent 2014 writing and recording his new album ' Get on this ride' which was officially released on February 16th 2015. It jumped in at 31 on the i-Tunes album charts and the album launch show at Melton Theatre sold out. Another 4 tracks from 'Get on this ride' were played by the East Midlands BBC Introducing team and track' Veto' & Now or Never' have been pushed on the national 'Best of BBC Introducing' show hosted by Mark Forrest, again proving George's potential and growing reputation in the music industry. 2016 George is back in the studio, and hoping his growing fan base will be more impressed than ever with his third album!
