So much fun

this was probably the best show I've seen this year. I've been lucky enough to catch several really good ones, but this was next level good. I only regret that I didn't get to see every single act, but the ones I saw all brought their a game for sure. Downstairs the Cops and then Revels kicked ass after Butch, Chris, and a couple of friends warmed up the stage for them. Upstairs I caught the end of the Days n Daze set and they were so great. The crowd absolutely ate them up, and they returned the love. Then to close the night, 30footFALL played the upstairs stage at Fitz and from the first note of their cover of the Vandals' "Oi to the World" to the last not of "Just Like Heaven" the place went nuts. Houston loves 30foot and they love Houston right back. I'd never had the chance to see them live before this year, but this was the third time this year I'd seen them. None of the first two shoes (which were awesome in their own right) prepared me for this set. High energy, fantastic set list, between song banter, old band members sitting in, and marriage proposals all were part of the show. I hope that this time next year I find myself able to go again.
