Formé en 2007 à Quimper, le groupe sort sa première démo autoproduite
« Son of the Night » dès 2008. d’un fort instinct de composition et
d’un style personnel et incisif, le groupe enregistre en 2010 « The
Dwelling » (EP Studio) au célèbre Drudenhaus Studio sous la houlette
de Neb Xort (Anorexia Nervosa).
Cette sortie reçoit d’excellents retours et son titre éponyme sera
qualifié, par le webzine Métalorgie de « véritable tube en puissance,
peut-être l’un des meilleurs morceaux de Death Mélodique entendu cette
année (là) ». Cet équilibre, réalisé entre des compositions invitant
aux voyages, à l’oubli où le rationnel côtoie l’irrationnel et des
rythmiques mêlant à la fois colère, grâce et puissance, permet au
quatuor de retrouver Xort en octobre 2011 pour l’enregistrement de
leur premier album « The Strand of Time ». Avec cette nouvelle
auto-production, Pictured gravit un nouvel échelon, laissant entrevoir
un avenir prometteur où grâce à leur hargne et leur passion à toute
épreuve, ils peuvent d’ores et déjà rivaliser avec les plus grands…"

Created in 2007 in Quimper, Brittany, the band releases its first
self-produced demo, "Son of The Night", in 2008. Already characterized
by a strong musical personality, Pictured releases "The Dwelling" in
2010 at the Drudenhaus Studio (Anorexia Nervosa, Alcest, Ultra Vomit).
This release gets numerous positive feedbacks and its title track is
said by the French webzine Metalorgie to be a "true hit, maybe one of
the best melo-death songs heard that year".
Later, the band finds other sources for creation and brings up new
material, more mature and powerful and passes again the gates of the
Drudenhaus for the recording of their first album, "The Strand of
Time", during November 2011. With this brand new self-production,
Pictured makes another step forward in the French metal scene, boosted
by his collaborations with the Breton Label Finisterian Dead End and
with the French crew "La Klonosphère" (Trepalium, Klone, Hacride...)
and Season of Mist. Bound by passion and determination, the four guys
from Pictured are ready to thrash the scene!
