About Andy Düx

In 1980 Andy Düx stood at the turntables for the first time in a dance school. The Big Apple in Wiesbaden became his first resident club in 1983, where he played on Sundays from 6 p.m. to midnight and sold mixtapes. In 1987 he founded the Voyou project together with the music producer Udo Niebergall. The debut single “Houseman” went straight into the American Billboard charts. From then on, things went uphill until he finally took over the Beatdisaster recording studio with Udo Niebergall in 1989. Together they founded the Overdrive label, which achieved cult status in the techno scene in the early 90s. With over 20,000 vinyl sales, “Don’t Stop” by Mark NRG was groundbreaking.
In 1990 he moved to Talla 2XLC as resident DJ at Dorian Gray in Frankfurt. In the following years he played at almost all major festivals such as Mayday, Time Warp, Nature One, Nightmare in Rotterdam, Rave City, Loveparade and many more.
From 1990 onwards there were permanent spots in the Palazzo Bingen, Bellini and the Safari Lounge Mainz. Since 2014 he has also been working with his friend Dillmanski on the Vinyl Players project. Andy Düx is currently in the recording studio with Eric Sneo and Oliver Bach, producing new tracks.
