Cairns based independent artist LT is back for 2024 with her latest single "Mercy!" set to hit dance-floors everywhere on March 14. "Mercy!" is the first of many for LT this year, and is reminiscent of the early 2000’s Dance, Electronic, Pop era (Sophie Ellis-Bextor meets La Roux). This new electronic dance collaboration is proof that an unsigned artist living in a regional location does not have to hinder your success.

"Mercy!" Is a collaboration between LT and London based producer JHustl3 which came together during the pandemic. After LT penned a few lyrics and shot through some melody ideas, Joe began putting down some beats and the two continued to work back and forth for quite some time changing chord progressions, styles, and building their song until "Mercy!" was born.

LT discusses the subject matter of her latest song: “Mercy! is inspired by the struggles faced with being an introvert at heart, and the social anxiety that comes with that. It’s using all your strength to get yourself to the party, and then looking for an escape route as soon as you arrive. It’s about being trapped in awkward conversations and wishing you could just disappear”.

Prior to its release, "Mercy!" has been picked up by the world's biggest airlines BRITISH AIRWAYS & AER LINGUS, and will be added to their #NextBigThing shows across all in-flight entertainment for the duration of 2024.

"Mercy!" Is the follow up single to "Act Your Age", and "Rollercoaster" which earlier this year earned LT an invite to showcase live for a BBC Radio Introducing, secured placements on Apple Music New in Pop Germany and New in Pop - Austria, Spotify Global Editorial playlists Fresh Finds, Fresh Finds Pop, Pop Edge and earned first place for its categories in widely acclaimed platforms International Songwriting Competition and Unsigned Only. "Act Your Age" has also been nominated for a QMA in the Regional/Remote Category for this years awards

LT is a 3 x time Queensland Music Award winner, the Carol Lloyd Award recipient, and has landed syncs with Channel 7, ABC TV, Spotify / AAMI Insurance, Marketing Melodies in-store entertainment, and supported the likes of Ball Park Music, Missy Higgins, Powderfinger, all whilst remaining an entirely independent artist.

LT is the project of singer-songwriter Leanne Tennant who has been gaining serious momentum since the release of her full length album, Happiness is..... which charted at #9 on the AIR Charts, received praise from media giants Medium’ (USA) and Clash Magazine (UK), had all singles added to full rotation on Double J and ongoing support from Triple J, Unearthed, and BBC Radio.

With more releases up her sleeve, LT is preparing for an exciting year ahead with a fierce new outlook on life as an independent artist.
