Una banda tijuanense de ska reggae que mezcla diversos ritmos que van desde el punk,rock alternativo, hip hop, dub y dance hall un sonido caracteristico de las bandas de reggae californianas. El concepto nace en la ciudad de Tijuana en el 2006 ,Chuy califas (Guitarra y voz) y El sr vv (Batería y coros) se aventuran con esta propuesta poco explotada en la region teniendo buena aceptación ante el publico local. mas adelante deciden personalizar su estilo llamándolo Califas Style. En el 2009 la banda sufre cambios en su alineación y se refuerza con musicos invitados y metales.
Su música es influenciada principalmente por Sublime, Slightly Stoopid, Manu Chao, rancid, entre muchos otros y han tenido la oportunidad de pisar escenarios abriendo conciertos a artistas tales como Antidoping, Manu Chao, Maldita vecindad, Gondwana, Cultura Profética, alika,inspector,morodo,skatalites y Los Cafres.
Se han presentado en festivales y lugares de la localidad como FestiArte , EnTijuanarte , El Foro, rouge live music venue, Plaza Monumental ,you revolution,black box por nombrar algunos.Su trabajo agrada a la juventud Tijuanense, desde el momento en que suben al escenario la gente no para de bailar y de disfrutar los cambiantes acordes de su música y su original letra tocando temas como la corrupción, el amor y desamor, la retrospectiva, la violencia, el optimismo, el rechazo, la concientización, el consumo de la Ganja, alcohol y alguna que otra sustancia
Palos Verdes se a presentado en ciudades como el CIUDAD DE MEXICO, LOS ANGELES.CA,SAN FRANCISCO CA, SANDIEGO CA,RIVERSIDE CA,TIJUANA, MEXICALI,YUMA ARIZONA, TECATE,HERMOSILLO SONORA,NOGALES, CD OBREGON,HESPERIA CA, ENSENADA Y ROSARITO BEACH.

A Tijuana Ska Reggae band that mixes different rhythms that range from punk, alternative rock, hip hop, dub and dance hall. to a characteristic sound of the Cali reggae bands. The concept was born in the city of Tijuana in 2006, Chuy califas (Guitar and voice) and El sr vv (Drums and choirs) venture with this proposal little exploited in the region having good acceptance before the local public. later they decide to personalize their style by calling it Califas Style.
