The Hooplas

The Hooplas started playing around 2012 in Ocean City Maryland. The original 3 members are Cody Bush, Adam Martin, and Ben Martin, w newest addition and mainstay drummer Declan Dachowski. Growing up in the skateboarding & surf scene, the music reflects much of the bands that fueled those movements in the late 90's-00's. Theres been comparisons of the likes of 311, Blink 182, Green Day, Rage Against The Machine, 4 Years Strong, All Time Low, and on & on. The Hooplas truly have a original sound of their own that's quite unique in with great diversity from song to sing. This is a hard working band that got some great breaks playing w bands such as POD, Slightly Stoopid, Puddle of Mudd, Jeff Tate of Queensryche, Badfish, and HR of Bad Brains, and other great artists. Songwriting is quite unique with zero pretense and a reflection of growing up, the early years of ups & downs, outlook on society, living it up, and the years of figuring life's journey out in different ways. One thing that Is certain about The Hooplas, is that when the lights go out and the band hits the stage there's going to be a high energy show that lights the audience up! There's a indie rock sound w some great rapping overtones that are delivered with great intention on grabbing the crowd w their original material that flows seamlessly! The band recorded it's 3rd album "Sink or Swim" with producer Billy Hume at Echo Mountain, in Asheville NC. Still unsigned and indie, The Hooplas are out there pounding the pavement to share their amazing sound and promote the singles from this new album.
