David Ianni

David Ianni is a critically acclaimed classical pianist and a composer of more than 100 works, including compositions for the piano and sacred choral music. His music has been performed throughout Europe, India and Japan.

David Ianni has become well-known for his project MY URBAN PIANO for which a series of nine music videos was produced in different European Capitals of Culture. He dedicated an original composition to each city and performed it on an artistically designed piano for a music video. Most of the pianos were donated to institutions in the visited cities.

David’s passion for music started early in his childhood. At the age of sixteen he gave his first international concert performing Franz Liszt’s Second Piano Concerto. In the late nineties, David withdrew from the public in order to find his spiritual and musical identity. He increasingly dedicated himself to composing his own music. In the following fruitful years, David developed his very unique and personal style which reflects his pursuit of truth, beauty and silence in music. While deeply rooted in the tradition of classical music, David’s harmonically and contrapuntally diverse compositions have found their way into the hearts of classical music lovers and mainstream listeners alike. He released several albums with his piano music as well as albums with the Cistercian Monks of Stift Heiligenkreuz which were awarded platinum status in Austria. His latest album MY URBAN PIANO was released in December 2018.
