harry hook is real is an ARIA-nominated performer and songwriter who has toured around Australia, Europe and the USA. He currently works on Gunaikurnai land in Sale (Wayput / Flooding Creek). He studied as a lawyer but found the lure of folk music's big bucks all too attractive. In 2014, he won the International Songwriting Competition unsigned category and subsequently released a solo album with Warner Music. He has played in session bands for Kasey Chambers and has supported Lucinda Williams, Paul Kelly, Ryan Bingham and Busby Marou to name a few. In 2018, he moved back to Gippsland from Nashville to begin work on a new solo project as an independent artist. He is also 1/3rd of Desert Alien with Small Town Alien and Jesse Kidd. 2023 will see the release of his 3rd solo album, produced by Greg Walker (Paul Kelly, CW Stoneking). His music has country, folk and blues influences with a strong focus on the lyric.
