About Naseem X

Over its past Months of operation Naseem X earned a reputation as one of the most important American independent recording artists, specializing in Hip-Hop, R&B and rap recordings, a position greatly appreciated.

Naseem X also has a number of deals in the works but are open for other opportunities'

Born Roger Thomas on September 22, 1986, Naseem X grew up in the dangerous and high-murder-rate streets of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He developed a passion for music at the tender age of 5 years old. Overtime the determined young man flourished into a multi-talented artist, excelling also in dancing, acting, modeling, freestyle skating, comedy and boxing. Blessed with multiple gifts and ceaseless determination Naseem talents wouldn’t go unrecognized for too long and 2004 he was offered to be in a music video with singer O’Ryan Omarion’s younger brother and is currently one of the main characters in his upcoming film “Good Brutha Bad Brutha” featuring Miles Silas Biggar production.

Growing up Naseem musical influences were Babyface, Usher and of course the all-time great Michael Jackson. He believes Michael heavily persuaded the change of music. Naseem can relate to Michael’s story because like Michael his talent pushed him to keep pursuing his dream despite any lack of family support he may have felt as a young child. In addition Michael’s moves have always been more than aspiring. Babyface is another influential artist to NX because he is such a creative and talented writer. Babyface has written a vast amount of hits for numerous artists and greatly contributed to the success of many singers. Lastly, Usher is a great influence because he too started off young. He has always been a great dancer and entertainer. One of the biggest risks Naseem has taken in pursuit of fulfilling his dream in music is quitting his career as an Assistant director of admission at a college The Art Institute of Philadelphia. To invest more time, dedication and money in a dream that is not guaranteed. Money that could otherwise be used to get to his deeply missed baby girl Naya in Sudan. But he does it all for her in hopes that they soon will meet for the first time and never be separated again. Naya is the prime motivation and drive of his life as his song “If We Try” refers to losing her. He aims to ensure she doesn’t lack any advantages or privileges he lacked a child. His belief; Stand for what you believe in. Follow your dreams and when people discourage you shrug it off and keep trying!
Naseem has been a role model and mentor for youth as he worked for IDAAY (Institute Development for African American Youth) as a program assistant helping juvenile delinquent youth get on the right path. By helping them with homework and pushing and cheering them on to finish and graduate from high school. Helping and volunteering in community services clean ups giving charity to the poor, homeless. As he is the CEO for The Prison Rights Society who mission is to ensure our poisoner are being treated fairly and not unjust. And to make sure there rights are being honored as well and not being treated inhumane. Naseem motive is to hopefully change the world one day at a time and one project at a time as described is his song “Just my thoughts”. Naseem X is currently promoting his single “Throw your hands up”. The single is a pop vibe with a hip-hop tempo. Unique in the sense that the artist rap flows fluently over a pop beat something that has yet to be done in hip-hop and R&B or any other genre of music. The artist subtle and seductive catchy lyrics engage female listeners while the foundation of the beat and Naseem raw flow with urban rhymes gives it that classic hip hop feel that guys also can relate to and enable it to be a club banger at virtually any club.
Naseem has work with Grammy Winner studio Milkboy who recorded Usher hit single “Guilty” in the B room and has collaborated with Joe Gallagher, Engineer and with former Sigma studio finest Chizz, Engineer. Who both advised artist is “off to a great start of something big” anyone with an eye for talent can see that it is merely a matter of time before this creatively hip artist grows into a worldwide sensation that people of all ages, races, and cultures will flock to, and support.
