Aparant

Formed in 2016 as a three piece, Aparant has its origins in the Inland Empire of Southern California. Having previously played under the name Desert Animals, vocalist and guitarist Jon Giordano and drummer Joe Ramos began writing and rehearsing new, experimental material. Soon after, Aparant recruited the like-minded member, Jake McMeans, for bass. Adapted from ancient Vedic philosophy, the name Aparant draws a line between what’s real and unreal.
Pulling from a variety of musical influences such as Coheed and Cambria, The Mars Volta, and Queens of the Stone Age, Aparant aims to create music that speaks to the Self. Aparant’s eclectic mix of genres – progressive rock, stoner rock, and metal – produces a new and unique sound for a profound listening experience. After their first release in December, 2016, the band released their first EP “Hit or Miss” – available on Itunes and Spotify today. The group plans on going into the studio to record a full-length album this year.
