Drive, Kid

We’re pop punk/alternative rock band from the Jersey Shore. Drive, Kid was founded in the fall of 2016 after Mark Rodriguez and Nick Manduley became roommates at the beginning of their freshmen year at Monmouth University. The two started as an acoustic duo, releasing a self titled acoustic demo on bandcamp.com in October of 2016. Not long after, the duo added drummer Connor Hastings and began playing full band shows with several stand-in bass players, which at one point included Cassidy Crosby of The Carousers. In March 2017, the band opened for Slaughter Beach, Dog (Jake Ewald of Modern Baseball fame). In Spring 2017, the trio recorded a full band demo of their song “There is a Young Lady at The Door” and released it along with some unreleased acoustic demos on their second demo EP “The Young Lady B-Sides.” In July 2017, the band added Stephen Bradford, a long-time friend of guitarist Nick, as there full time bass player. With a full stable lineup, the quartet continued playing shows all over New Jersey. In March 2018, the band released their debut full-band EP “Picturesque” across all social media and music platforms. The band is currently working on new material.
