SebVé

SebVé is the live electronic music act of Canadian composer and performer Sébastien Vaillancourt. His live act features various performance approaches revolving around the piano, body-sensors, dance and audio-reactive lighting. He is currently working on an LP entitled “Maximum Intra” that will come out March 2018.

Over the years, SebVé has been forging his style, building a sound-world that artfully combines noises with micro-tonal harmonies to create electronic poems. He has searched long and wide to craft and refine his own timbres and to forge complex harmonic worlds into a rather short and straightforward format that is well represented in Maximum Intra.

“Late 2016 I was asked to compose ambient and meditative tracks for meditation and relaxation purposes. Although I didn’t engage any further into it because of diverging artistic demands, with this Idea in mind, I started composing some pieces on my own behalf. The first one was called Maximum Intra 1. I took the name from the Sanskrit word “Mantra” (song, hymn), and exploded it into the two Latin words “Maximum” (furthest, highest) and “Intra” (inside) which together mean “at the deepest point inside”. Another one of the album’s pillar is “Fabulation 1(b)”. “Fabulation” is a French word that recalls the work of the imagination, building a whole unreal world and believing it as real. Although not meditative the latter is representative of an electronic poem form”

Now focusing on the Live representation. Having performed in Berlin several times, SebVé is building up his reputation in Berlin. He will perform in Berlin in March 2018 to support his release with a special performance crafted for the occasion.
