About Dose Official
Within just a few months after DOSE’s second independent EP “Bloodshot Sunrise” (released August 1, 2015), the band was picked up by Mushroomhead’s label Filthy Hands / SK1 for a full length release scheduled for fall of 2018.
DOSE founder and drummer, Jeff Morrow, comments: “Inking a deal with Skinny (the mastermind behind the recently top 20 charted band Mushroomhead) is better than any other record deal we could have hoped for. Along with the full length record, it will include a music video for our single release as well as supporting tour, merch and other resources to help get our music out to the masses.”
The press is saying:
“DOSE is blowing up the metal scene and you aren’t going to want to miss out.”
- Jeremy Moore, ZTP Magazine (Apr 09, 2016)
“Big L’s advice is to go get yourself a dose of Dose. It’ll cure whatever is ailing ya!””
- Larry Ritter, Rust Belt Chronicles (Mar 04, 2016)
The DOSE project began in 2013 and takes its name from an overdose of a beloved family member. At that time, Jeff and his twin brother Jay turned to what they knew best to work through the overwhelming grief. This metal therapy soon took on a life of its own with the most recent addition, bassist Jason Bellino to add his compelling twist to the diverse aggression being put out.
Completing the lineup early in 2016, is vocalist Nick Jarrell. “Nick was exactly what we were looking for to bring our music to the level that we’ve been focused on since day one”, says Jay. “He has the chops and energy that is needed to keep up with some seriously intense composition.”
Before this fortunate turn of events DOSE recorded in April of 2014 just five months after its inception with producer and former Chimaira and Six Feet Under guitarist Rob Arnold at his Cleveland, Ohio studio. The disk includes three originals including three bonus tracks featuring iconic punk/hardcore vocalist Don Foose of The Spudmonsters, Dancing White Elephants and Run Devil Run.
The debut for Dose’s EP “Ashes of Winter” was independently released on June 13, 2014. Combining elements of extreme metal, groove metal, thrash metal, metalcore, and progressive metal.
DOSE is featured on a variety of metal shows including WJCU 88.7 FM and WCSB 89.3 FM as well as internet radio stations in the U.S., Europe, U.K. and around the globe.
Stay tuned for details on music release dates, upcoming tours and video premiers.
