About Hórmónar
Known for their crazy stage presence, feminist punk texts and radical energy, Hórmónar(Whoremoans) are here to drive you wild. The band started with a bang in 2016, winning the Icelandic Music Experiments after only a month of playing together. As the band’s lead singer described it in a recent interview with the Grapevine: “Our songs are like a female orgasm; there’s no one big explosion, but many high points.” In 2017, the band was a critic and crowd favorite at Iceland Airwaves and were awarded the “Peoples’ Choice Award” at the Grapevine Music Awards.
