Mr. J. Medeiros

Mr. J Medeiros has been making music with the LA group, The Procussions, for over 9 years. They played over 150 crowds per year and put on indcredible shows; playing with the likes of Talib Kweli and A Tribe Called Quest; an amazing experience. All this action pushed Mr. J towards getting his own album out: Of gods and girls. It’s a very personal album for him. He explains that "most of the it is about what people make gods out of, the idea's men have about women and how those two interact in both a dangerous and beautiful way. There is a focus on women in this album with a hope that in man’s recognition of woman as an equal we will be creating safer environments for women in what, for the most part, has been a "mans" world...hiphop."
J's song “Constance” gets to the heart of that issue. Mr. J Medeiros wants his music to speak with dignity and inspire social change.
