DeSean Kirkland

DeSean Kirkland (born January 1, 1990) is an American musician and film producer. Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, Kirkland became the first ever scholar to receive the Jacksonville Commitment Scholarship. While in college, DeSean was highly regarded for his musical prowess, performing with the UNF Chamber Singers on international tours in Europe and South Africa and even the CNN Presidential Debate.After successfully completing his Bachelors degree at the flagship music program at the University of North Florida in 2012, DeSean Kirkland began working on his solo career in music. After releasing a few singles online, DeSean Kirkland went on to perform his music at rented venues in Florida, selling tickets and creating a fan base of his own. After creating such a buzz for himself, DeSean Kirkland landed a residency at Seasons 52 as the house pianist, traveling throughout the country performing for different audiences nightly.
After two years of taking requests and entertaining audience of all different ages and cultural backgrounds, DeSean Kirkland developed a sound of his own that is reminiscent of greats like Billy Joel and Elton John, while sampling the energy of James Brown and Jackie Wilson and the soulfulness of Marvin Gaye. His music and tracks have been used for television shows airing on Comcast, Dish Network, AT&T, ABC and The Impact Network. His songs have also been featured on local and college radio stations throughout the country.
In 2017, DeSean Kirkland announced the release of his debut album "Genesis" that will feature 13 self produced original songs accompanied by several self-directed music videos and short films. As producer to Billboard charting artist Stan Jr., exudes entertainment at the excellent level. His vocals are pure and soulful with an electrifying stage performance.
