Kool Tur

Kool Tur was born as a new musical adventure, With the idea of blending different cultures and fusing together East and West, into one alchemic sonic formula of modern sounds with Mediterranean ethnic roots.

Musician and producer Liad Vanounou (founder of Mr. Mostash and Cherry Bandora) together with various other musicians from around the globe, was starting to develop original compositions that overtime blossomed into a fresh combination of middle eastern melodies and rhythms, synthesizer hooks, keyboards drenched with reverb, nostalgic guitar tones and a blazing bouzouki (4 double stringed greek instrument) all floating on top of a funky, pounding rhythm section.

Today, the band consists of members from Israel, Germany and France, each of them contributing their unique input and influence on the complete ensemble.

Last to join the Kool Tur clan was dancer and performer Adele. She added that extra spice of a visual dimension to the music with her stunning movement and performance.

Kool Tur ́s live show is a colourful celebration of music and cultures, often with diverse guests. Always sweaty and uplifting, the rhythms and grooves of Kool Tur will make any pair of feet dance.

In its short history Kool Tur has played live shows on stages around Germany and made appearances on Fusion Festival and Boomtown Festival in the UK.

Elektrik Kool Tur is the band´s little elektrik sister, that combines elektronik beats with live instruments like guitars and arabic instruments and percussion, featuring band members and special guests. the first Elektrik Kool Tur release is out on London based Batov records.
