Malicious Melodies

John, Jeramey, and Harley started a little project in the back room of a house in late 2015. It was just a basic jam session and an idea that they all had because they were all mebers of a band called Sofa Kings Toned. As time went on a guy named Erik started coming around because he was a good friend of some of Jeramey's family members. The two quickly learned about each others interest in playing music and became friends. One day Erik was asked to come over and jam with the rest of the guys. There was NO talk of starting a band. It was just an idea of a means for everyone to have some laughs and play some tunes. After a while the guys decided to start practicing at John's residence due to a lack of room and other reasons. After a short while Erik contacted his close friend Dennis who was the bass player in the band they were previously in called "Building Stonehenge". Dennis came over and everyone was in agreement with the idea of a regular weekly jam session. After a few months of practicing we decided to come up with a name for our outfit. After a couple of weeks of debate and ideas we came up with Malicious Melodies. A malicious melody by the way is a song or tune that gets stuck in your head and no matter how hard you try, you simply can't get it out. We kept jamming out to what turned into 3 nights a week practice and began inviting friends over to check us out. People reacted very positive towards us and we finally decided that we wanted to hit the stage. Our very first show was at a private biker club in Tempe,AZ called Metalheads. The show (despite a power failure) went very well and we got an amazing acceptance into the music scene. It was straight upwards from there. We booked shows at places like The Arizona Event Center, Barefoot Bob's, Private parties, Pranksters Too, etc... The band has recorded a single that was released in early November of 2016. We finished up our 4 song Demo and released it in mid May 2017. After the release of the EP we were invited to Los Angeles CA July 14th to play at none other than the Whisky A Go Go. We opened the show for Last in Line and met some Rock and Roll legends. Malicious Melodies is a hard rock/metal band from Phoenix, Arizona.
