About Charli White
Charli White is an upcoming singer/songwriter currently based in Manchester. In the few short years of her career she has supported acclaimed artists from both sides of the Atlantic including multi-award winning USA star Willie Nile, Gibson endorsees Xander and the Peace Pirates and Xtra Mile Recording’s The Lion and the Wolf.
Since moving to Manchester in late 20l6 she has made appearances at Sound Control and the much-lauded Gorilla. 2017 saw her make her first festival appearances with performances at Dot to Dot (Sundara Karma, Amber Run, The Growlers) and Samphire Festival (The Correspondents, Ardyn). She was recently awarded 'Singer-Songwriter of the Year' 2017 by the Manchester Mid-Week Music Club.
Her performances, characterised by her impressive vocal range and emotionally driven guitar, create a live solo set that provides enough power to keep up with any band she performs alongside. Far from the softness and submissiveness that is all too often associated with female singer/songwriters, Charli has a peerless voice that demands to be heard. It is hard to believe such a huge force hails from such a small town.
“Charli is gorgeous to the bone. She has an ability to brighten anyone’s day and put compulsory smiles on faces. If her pen continues to be as prolific as it has been I think we are looking forward to the birth of some classic tunes. It is coming as sure as night follows day.” – Garry White, Bluefunk Rhythm and Blues Club
