About Beth Yen
Beth Yen captivates. From the UK but based in Sydney, her career has embellished a musical journey, creating an astounding profile fit for a beat queen. Sublimely succumbed to the house, progressive, tech and nu- disco pools, Beth has magnetized as one of the industry’s pristine icons, delving in the studio to the DJ booth from Pacha Ibiza to Bali’s Skygarden.
Growing up in the UK, Beth spent the most of her youth rummaging through underground parties in and out of Manchester and Leeds, while surrounding herself with electronic music’s pioneers from Masters at Work to Dennis Ferrer and Eric Prydz. Devouring a plethora of musical platforms the Beth Yen brand has stood up as the influencer. With the midas touch, the disco was changed by Beth and the way people moved has evolved with her music over the years.
Gracing the city’s golden lines spots from the Ivy to The Columbian to Mardi Gras’ most prestigious 25,000 plus person parties, Beth Yen nailed a superb way to play the market she held so tightly in her hands. Jetting to the island of Ibiza this electric artist is frequent the flavor at clubs like Space, Pacha, Pukka Up boat parties, London’s EGG alongside Christian Smith and lighting up the Sunset Music Festival alongside Avicii for a solid 4000 people. The sun kissed bodies of Play Cantaloupe Playground in Sri Lanka and cool gems like Lucky 13 in Singapore anticipate a treat too. From tech to vocal house, Beth Yen has captured the world over creating a demand in Asia, New Zealand, Europe and the UK while remaining grounded at some of Australia’s most prestigious events for Hermes, Armani Exchange, Palazzo Versace and The Darling with Stevie Wonder. No stranger to playing alongside the elite, Beth Yen has appeared in DJ booths across the globe with artists spanning from Carl Cox, to Mark Ronson and local hero Dirty South.
Despite the enviable schedule of gigs between Australia and the world, Beth Yen finds a perfect balance between the DJ booth and the studio, working closely on a debut EP due for a much awaited release shortly, following successful remixes for Stonebridge and Luciana. Keeping a firm ear on an ever changing industry but keeping the genuine passion for the rock solid beats, Beth Yen continues to hold dance music in the palm of her hands.
