About Wrathsputin

Wrathsputin's journey up to this point has been one filled with obstacles and very long for those willing to read it through. Founded in 2006 by guitarist/songwriter Demitrios Vessiropoulos under the original name Wrath of Man, Demitri quickly put together a group of like minded musicians to write music with. Drawing from a heavy influence and love of old-school death metal and especially the band Death wrath of man put together a formidable song library in a short period. After the original bassist had to step down he was replaced by current bassist George Georgoulopoulos who later would bring his younger brother and drummer Kostas on board. Around 2008-2009 the second guitar spot was taken over by Kosta Tranxidis and a solid instrumental line-up was in place. after several years of cycling through multiple vocalists George happened to come upon Chris White some time in 2010. While the difficulties should have stopped there they seemed to only get worse. Shortly after moving to a new practice space in Allston, MA Wrath of man attempted to record an EP which was botched by a lack of time and an inexperienced engineer/producer. At the same time they were asked to leave their half of the space they shared by the other band. With Demitri having just become a father and everyone's work schedules making it more difficult to practice, compounded with the lack of rehearsal space the band went on hiatus for almost a full year. Finally time and opportunity presented itself and the band reconvened once again having found adequate practice space. Though sadly Demitri had to step down from his duties on rhythm guitar. It was a sad parting and in a show of respect to Demitri the band abandoned much of the material he had written as well as the name. In order to both honor the bands past and assume a new identity the name Wrathsputin was taken and the band began to work hard on new material and search for a new guitarist, proving to be a much more difficult task than originally thought. After a full year of playing shows as a 4-piece and sacrificing the layers of their sound in a live setting Wrathsputin finally found a suitable guitarist in Jude Aldajani. Now primed and ready to take the metal world by storm and promoting their self-funded, released, and recorded debut EP entitle "March of the Butcher" Wrathsputin has come to tear shit up!! \m/
