About Will Day (AUS)

Will Day is the next generation of Australian country music. With the ability to play, write and perform at a level his peers’ rate, Will is one of the hardest workers in the music industry. Performing up to six shows a week, Will is striving for the best life for his young family. His drive and passion for his craft shine through every song and every show. As a young man Will had to face the hard cold reality of losing his father to brain cancer in August 2007. Will’s father was principal of the local school in his hometown of Goondiwindi and a well-respected member of the community. This moment permeates Will’s day-to-day life as a young father, husband and friend, and inspires him in his music-making. Will left Goondiwindi in 2008 for the hustle and bustle of Brisbane to study and complete a Bachelor of Popular Music (majoring in contemporary vocals). Will now has a strong presence in South - East Queensland and with hard work, passion and dedication is working as a fulltime musician. This experience and valuable stage time has not only given Will the opportunity to hone his craft as a musician but also as a quality entertainer and songwriter. This modern day singer–songwriter has had an exciting start to his career and has already achieved a swag of impressive milestones, such as touring and performing with some of Australia’s leading entertainers, performers and songwriters. “Will Day is a true songsmith with the ability to capture his audience in the stories he sings, a true gentlemen of today’s hard music industry, there are exciting times ahead for Will Day and his music.” Says Australian Country Music star, Col Finley. On father’s day 2016, and in memory of his father, Will launched his debut EP, a five-track journey into the life of a young man inspired by the tragedies and triumphs he has endured in his short life. Will Day’s focus on the bigger picture is as clear as the lyrics in his songs. His EP is one you should have in your collection. Personal Achievements: Raising awareness and funds for the Cure for Life Foundation founded by Dr Charlie Teo, who operated on Will’s dad. Providing and surviving as a fulltime singer/songwriter/performer for the past decade playing 200–250 shows a year.
