Wilkes Oswald

Wilkes Oswald is 4 Journalism students from Miami, FL who formed a band in 2009. Vast influences vary from early rock n roll (Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin) to current rock (Muse, Tame Impala, Nirvana) to new hip-hop and electronic sounds (Daft Punk, Kanye West, Childish Gambino, Outkast). Wilkes has played all over Florida since forming, and played the Whiskey a Go-Go in Hollywood, CA in 2015. Their DIY style defines them more than anything else: Music, Videos, Logos & Designs, Artwork, all made by the members of Wilkes Oswald and friends. No two live shows by Wilkes Oswald are ever the same, for they love and have mastered the art of on-the-spot, improvised sequences in their live sets, even sometimes completely improvising a brand new song right on the spot.
