About Wig

Wig was formed in 1989 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. After two releases on Nocturnal Records, the band parted ways with singer Preston Cleveland. They played as a trio for a while as a purely instrumental band, then met up with new singer Clark Nova. The band sooned signed with Polydor.

Their first album for Polydor, Deliverance, would be moved to Island Records, due to restructuring at the label. It was released in 1994 and the band toured extensively in support of the album. They began to work on Wireland in 1995, relocating to Los Angeles to put themselves in a better position for Wireland's release, adding a second guitarist to the band in the meantime.

Wireland was released in 1997. However, like with Deliverance, the band had little support from the label in promoting the album. Eventually, the band decided to call it quits iin 1998
