We Rock Like Girls Don't began when Glaswegian guitarist/ vocalist Ros Cairney advertised for a Rock’n’Roll Freak in London paper Loot and met her match in London/ Greek drummer Vas Antoniadou. Initially a trio, the band released two self - financed 7” singles ROCK’N’ROLL FREAK and I JUST WANNA STICK MY HEAD IN THE BASS DRUM, and infiltrated the final of Onemusic Unsigned on daytime BBC Radio 1. After the departure of bassist Jen Simpson, the duo self-released third single VIOLENCE and debut album HOW DID IT GET TO THIS and signed to Domino Publishing Company. A summer tour of Germany and Belgium in 2010 included memorable headline shows at The Charlatan Club, Gent and the Duncker Club in Berlin. The band finished the year by recording new song SOMETHING OUT OF NOTHING at legendary Rockfield Studios in Wales with producer Dave Eringa. Following time out in 2011 due to Ros having a major operation, WRLGD are now back in action. The band headlined the first CLIT ROCK @ The Lexington, London on 20th November 2011, a benefit to raise money for Daughters of Eve who campaign to prevent Female Genital Mutilation.
