About Wasteland Rocks
WASTELAND ROCKS is a heavy metal band from Ålesund, Norway. Founded in 2004 and fronted by a female singer, the five members started out as a tribute band with the mission to serve their fans the «best heavy metal of all ages».
Main influences are heavy metal and thrash bands from 1970s to 1990s like Black Sabbath, Accept, Metallica, Dio, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden and Anthrax to name a few.
Wasteland Rocks’ popular cover versions of classics like «Heaven and Hell» by Black Sabbath, «Mr Crowley» by Ozzy, «Perfect Strangers» by Deep Purple, «The Wicker Man» by Iron Maiden, «Holy Diver» by Dio and «Living after Midnight» by Judas Priest show the band’s versatility and have been played more than 600.000 times on SoundCloud so far.
The band has shared festival stages with some great artists like Nazareth, Black Star Riders, Stage Dolls, Titanic, The Carburetors and Ken Hensley (Uriah Heep).
