Verveine

Started in 2010 in Vevey, Verveine is a solo electronic project, built on pop and techno influences. Bred in the lively scene built around the local venues and collectives, Verveine cut her teeth collecting concerts, deepening and intensifying her universe: synthetic melodies, superposed voices, angular structures reminiscent of The Knife, Angelo Badalamenti or Broadcast, among the most obvious influences. Her budding traits transformed into a different type of live experience, tinged by techno hues, which enabled her to take her live sets to a new level ; between traditional performance and radical clubbing experimentation. Always radiating a mysterious aura, Verveine’s music takes her audience for a unsettling stroll through refined atmospheres, using her hypnotic voice to see it through her technoid maze. - - - - - - Verveine est un projet électronique solo nourri d’influences pop autant que techno. Gravitant autour de lieux et collectifs tels que le RKC, Stadio ou Décal’Quai, elle développe son univers autour de mélodies synthétiques, de voix superposées et d’une base rythmique angulaire, évoquant notamment The Knife, Angelo Badalementi ou Broadcast. Ces prémisses s’affinent au fil des concerts pour aboutir à un live évolutif ; aux compositions intimistes de l’album se greffe une esthétique techno qui fait évoluer ses sets à la frontière entre live traditionnel et improvisations clubbing radicales.
