BIO IN ENGLISH MAY THE PROPHECY BE ON THY SIDE Veratrum are a band of very high value (Rock Hard, 2015) Technical and fast brutal death metal filled with epic and mystical feeling (All Around Metal, 2013) Obscure prophecies and marks from an ancient past live inside us: it was time for them to be awakened. The more one delves into the depths of Babel, the more one is seduced by its inextricable mysteries… We have plunged into these arcane universes with the intention of launching a quest across the domains of poetry, philosophy and mysticism. Our extreme metal is open to various influences and dark atmospheres, united with other forms of art, first of all the graphic arts and poetry. A brutal music, like that of our first EP “Sangue” (“Blood”, 2010), which has transformed, in the full lengths “Sentieri Dimenticati” (“Forgotten Paths”, 2013) and “Mondi Sospesi” (“Suspended Worlds”, 2015), into a magical and alchemical journey through the mysteries of history and the abyss of the human spirit. Più ci si addentra nelle viscere di Babèl, più si è sedotti dagli enigmi insolubili che essa ci pone. Ci siamo addentrati in questi universi arcani con l’intento di intraprendere una ricerca a cavallo tra poesia, filosofia e misticismo. Un metal estremo aperto a numerose contaminazioni e atmosfere oscure, unito ad altre forme d’arte, prime fra tutti le arti grafiche e la poesia. Una musica brutale come quella del nostro primo EP “Sangue” (2010) che diventa, nei full length “Sentieri Dimenticati (2013) e “Mondi Sospesi” (2015), un percorso magico e alchemico nei misteri della storia e negli abissi dello spirito umano.
