About VYGR
Originally founded under the name Voyager, the Massachusetts collective released a well-received self-titled EP in 2008, followed by a limited vinyl-only split release with Philadelphia's Monolith in early 2010. Following two years of conflicting schedules and limited live shows, the group has re-emerged as VYGR and finished up their long-overdue full length record, "Hypersleep". Building upon the dense, moody atmosphere present on their self-titled release, a conscious effort was made to incorporate more intricate melody and dynamics. The end result is an hour of crushing riff-driven sludge, blended seamlessly with space rock elements and delay-soaked guitar leads. "Hypersleep" was released on CD & double LP through San Francisco based label Creator-Destructor in March 2011, followed by a limited 12" vinyl-only re-release of their first EP featuring the bonus track "Deathless" in the summer of 2011. In 2012, the band contributed three new tracks towards a three way split LP between California friends and label-mates At Our Heels and Griever, which released in the fall of 2012. It is currently available through Creator-Destructor. Full body headbang
