About Two Neck Noose
There is an undeniable, captivating groove that can't be described with genre. But it's heavy enough to be death metal, and fast enough to be thrash. Most modern bands today will usually add strings, or lower tunings to sound "heavy" or "brutal". On their latest, Two Neck Noose is flipping metal on it's ear, staying, or even "tuning up", in a standard tuning, and sounding as heavy as their competitors. Dave Mustaine from Megadeth once said something along the lines of, "If you have to down-tune to make a riff sound heavy, then it isn't a heavy riff." Recorded by Mike Hasty(Walls of Jericho), the self-released, self-titled 4 song EP that was just released September of 2012, has a wide, diverse range, from all corners of the metal spectrum. But you hear a common denominator in this diversity that reminds you of who you're listening to. This denominator may vary well be from the, just as diverse, vocals of Rich Clearman, whose foundation rattling lows, and monocle shattering highs tie Davys riffs, along with Randy and Chris's rhythm section, into place. ... a vicarious death. I'll wipe myself clean if it means you're coming with me.
