(3) American electronic/classical band.
What began as a series of open-ended sessions between two aspiring film composers, swiftly evolved into a full-scale collaboration, resulting in the group 'transit' and the album 'lost angles'. Francis, Bafta nominated composer of electronica and strange sounds, met Marnie, a classically trained harpist/singer/songwriter (check out her debut CD 'Sunday Skies'), at UCLA. He had recently arrived on America's fair shores after departing his homeland of Scotland, and she was fresh-off-the-farm from Boise, Idaho. Together they harnessed their assorted talents, and with a lot of creativity, dexterity, cunning, and a strong work ethic, formed a unique sound.

(4) American A Cappella Group
Formed in 2005, transit is a dynamic new vocal band that emphasizes engaging live performances, inspiring recordings, and continual innovation of their art form. From beautiful ballads to soul-shaking funk, transit performs a wide variety of music sure to please even the most eclectic audience.

Transit has been very busy in only their first year in existence. In January, 2006, transit's very first single, "Hide and Seek" received a nomination for a Contemporary A Cappella Recording Award (CARA) in the Contemporary Pop/Rock Category. Transit was thrilled to take Runner-Up for the award in April. Also, in July, transit put on the hugely successful weekend a cappella seminar, "Sweatin' the Details" (www.recordosaur.us). Transit's self-titled debut album is set to be released in January 2007.

5) "TRANSIT has been around since 1974 and will most probably hang out until the fifties / sixties, depending on the turns this life long project will run into hah hah... The debut album "Decent man on a desperate moon" was recorded from august 04 ´till march 06, and will most probably be released autumn '07. You see, i got a beautiful daughter April last year and i've been spending lots of time hanging out with her :o) Anyways; go have a listen mama!

TRANSIT used to be lead singer in a Norwegian prog metal band called IN THE WOODS... ITW released four full length albums from 1995 'till 2000 and a double live album in 2003. The band sold shitloads of records in most corners of the world, but split up in 2000 because most of the guys wanted to explore new fields in music..."
