About Tom Clay

Tom was born and raised in the Hampshire countryside but moved to Los Angeles at the age of 20 with dreams of pursuing a career in acting. Not long after arriving he fell in love and the two decided to escape together from city life, setting off one evening across the Mohave dessert towards New Mexico where they were married. Soon after they moved back to England where Tom began writing music and performing in bars and clubs across London. The industry took notice and success looked imminent although this all came to an abrupt end when his wife was tragically killed. Tom retired his guitar. A few years passed and when Tom felt ready he returned to music after being asked to play bass in the band Flight Brigade alongside childhood friends. Rediscovering his love for music he started writing his own material again and shortly after was offered representation by two friends who believed in him. This year he is touring extensively touring both with Flight Brigade and as a solo artist with his song 'Sanctuary' due for release in January 2016. Highwayman was picked by ‘BBC Surrey & Sussex….Introducing’ as their Track of the day 05.03.15 Official Facebook Page for Tom Clay. Singer-Songwriter and Flight Brigade Bass Player. I was Robert Carlyle's hand double in 28 weeks later.
