Togetherapart

Togetherapart are a Melbourne Darkwave trio with an ethereal, melancholic sound, combining crunchy beats, gritty analog synths, shimmering guitars, and haunting vocals. Known for their atmospheric, textural shows utilising projected visuals, walls of smoke and splintering lights, the band have played regularly in Melbourne since hitting the scene in late 2014, and recently completed their first interstate trip to headline the Aether Sessions at Woolly Mammoth in Brisbane. Togetherapart build their songs live on stage using samples, synths, guitar, vocals, percussion sampler, and effects, leading to an organic and spontaneous performance not locked to rigid backing tracks. Their current sets are performed as a continuos flow of music and sound, as each song merges into the next. Currently focused on pursuing further slots on established events, and releasing new music, the trio released the singles “Too Far”and “Still Here” in 2016, followed by a number of remixes by an array of local producers. The group continue to evolve their sound and live show, exploring self-produced visuals, new aural textures, and an expanding range of instruments and technology.
