Tobi Sunmola

Tobi Sunmola, born in Nigeria, moved to Manchester at 16 years old. His journey as an artist started in Nigeria where Tobi and his friends in secondary school would form a group as his school’s finest rappers.

Tobi found a youth club close to where he lived in Openshaw, East Manchester and started gaining notoriety in Manchester merely a few weeks after moving to the UK.
Tobi is known for his eclectic vocals accompanied with a gritty yet melodic style production innovating a new wave of music. Tobi released his debut EP “Childhood Culture”, earning the attention of the major labels and support from Radio 1’s Huw Stephens, Mistajam and DJ Target to name a few alongside being named BBC Introducing Track of the Week on 1xtra.

Tobi’s mission is to inspire and innovate a new wave of rap music and create a new and refreshing experience for its lovers
