About the tony windle situation

Tony Windle’s music can be heard across the country in elevators, dentist’s offices, and supermarkets. It’s perfect for dinner, romance, or the “smooth ride home.” What is the music of Tony Windle? Ask his Mom, and she’ll tell you it’s amazing – best on Earth! “Smooth and exciting” says one listener, chardonnay in hand. Really though, what is his music? - Wordless expressionism? Baked into genres of Smooth Jazz, fusion, and Adult Contemporary – whatever you want to call it, Windle’s music is exactly New Adult Contemporary Instrumental Pop, with a dash of jazz and ambient, and a pinch of funk. Ta-dah! Tony Windle, taking his stance behind a mound of keyboards, is truly an entertainer. His Italian grandfather was a professional musician, geared with a mandolin, guitar, and, violin. He was Windle’s first musical influence. “Papa would dress he and I as clowns, and we would go out and sing ‘Show me the way to go home’ – my first act, and I was wearing makeup!” All instrumental, Windle states that his music is designed for the listener, thus allowing them to come up with their own personal meaning about the music. “Music means something different to each individual – give me the canvas, I paint the picture, the audience simply frames it.” 1997, at 26 years old, Windle released his debut album ‘Unframed Picture’ on the fusion label, AudioImages Recordings. Receiving national airplay, Unframed Picture quickly grabbed listeners and Windle became a popular fixture in the northern California jazz scene. The radio single, a cover of Three Dog Night’s “One” (written by Harry Nilsson), boasts the musical talent of sax superstar Eric Marienthal. Marienthal performs on three album tracks, along with a host of fine talent. “The album is as eclectic as me. From powerful pop to heartfelt ballads, it will definitely keep your attention,” says Windle. Jazziz Magazine positively reviewed Unframed Picture calling it “A debut to remember.” Crossing the genres between new age and smooth jazz, Windle gave his listeners another helping of fine instrumental compositions with his 2000 sophomore effort, 'Right There.' This was Windle's most popular album, receiving national airplay with three singles: "4th Avenue" featuring saxophonist Jeff Kashiwa, 'Spring's Hope," and the Michael Jackson groove cover "Baby Be Mine" featuring saxman Greg Vail. "Baby Be Mine" continues to receive national airplay on smooth jazz radio. Tony Windle currently lives in northern California, and is a sales executive for Yamaha Corporation of America - music division. He continues to perform contemporary jazz throughout the country, and acts as a sideman with many popular smooth jazz artists, including famed guitarist, Steve Oliver. After a 12-year hiatus, Windle is back in the studio recording his third solo album with producer/guitarist Steve Oliver, and Tower of Power's keyboardist Roger Smith. You can find Tony Windle's music on all major music services including Amazon.com, iTunes, Pandora, and Spotify.
