A band of musicians traveling the coast ,mountain rages and great lakes performing a eclectic collection of covers and originals gathered and learned throughout their travels .The Thunder Chickens are a Midwest staple!! The Thunder Chickens are no stranger (or chicken for that matter) to the stage . Performing in neighborhood bars , back yards, bike rally’s, fund raisers/benefits, street corners and festivals to sharing the stage with numerous national acts throughout the U.S. and appearing live on the SPEED channel with Riki Rachtman and Michael Waltrip. The Thunder Chickens were founded in 2007 by Melissa May and Josh Jekel. Keeping a constant schedule promoting the band’s music, performance art, venues , love for people , travel , guitars, cheap beer and good times is what keeps the music alive and the ambition to stay focused on what is truly important….. Life. You can catch these feathered friends as a two piece act or as a full band. The Chickens strive as a high energy, performance band to make you smile and enjoy life with some song, drink , smoke and good company…even if you are having a bad day -these chickens will raise the roof and bring it back down for you.
