About The Starling Radicals

The Starling Radicals are an indie-rock trio from South Wales. We formed online in 2012 and draw influence from everything. We have actually physically fought Morrissey, and have actually physically chased James Dean Bradfield through a park. We are on our 8th drummer. We DIY-released our debut album 'Saintland' in August 2014, having gigged extensively all about the UK including most notably Cardiff's Motorpoint Arena supporting Labrinth in June that same year, as well as on the Horizons stage at X Festival Cardiff 2015, Glasgow's Classic Grand at Hard Rock Hell 2014, and several UK Student Unions. Winners of the Cardiff LMS Battle of the Bands in March 2014 and the X Festival Cardiff BOTB @ Walkabout 2015, we have featured in WalesOnline’s Best New Welsh Music playlist several times, been favourited by Tom Robinson's FreshOnTheNet, and received radio support for tracks 'Another Shade of Gloom', 'Moon' and 'Eton Mess' on Adam Walton's New Welsh Music Show on BBC Radio Wales. Those tracks, as well as all our other released output, are available to freely download and stream from https://thestarlingradicals.bandcamp.com and https://soundcloud.com/starlingradicals. The Starling Radicals are Gareth Bain (bass), George Toulouse (vocals, guitars) and Joe Steele (drums). The Starling Radicals are a 3-piece rock group from South Wales, formed in November 2012.
