About The Spies
There are several artists known as the Spies.
1) The Spies is a pop band formed in Fresno, California in the late 90s. The band constisted of brothers "Bob" (Robert Mardo)and "Mardo" (Aron Mardo) and "Zig".
Their first published song was the only new song on the "Wild America" Soundtrack in 1997 entitled "Goldenman". They were billed as "Spies" and recorded a music video for the song with the three teen idols from the movie.
Their first album, "Toy Surprise Inside" was published by Fig Garden Music (BMI) in 1998. Off that album, "Tired of Being Alone" became a college radio hit and "You & Me" was used in an episode of "Dawson's Creek".
They next produced a 6 song ep "Buy My Piano" in 1999. They moved down to Los Angeles to up their game, but in the end they met their demise is 2002.
Robert and Aron, however, reimmerged in 2005 with a new album from a new band with their name on it, "Mardo".
