The Sound Awake

The Sound Awake is an indie rock band from Nashville TN out to prove that guitars and great songs are still the joyful engine of music to come. Having completed their 52 in 52 project in early 2016 (writing/recording/releasing a song a week for a year), the band now turns their focus on touring regionally and nationally, as well as releasing their first official record in the 2017. The new record is a culmination of sounds and songs from the 52 project. Guitars, keyboards and cello snake together while the bass and drums supply the bed, providing the soil where the melodies and lyrics of Nick Bullock take root. The band pays homage to their heroes (think Wilco, The Beatles and Built To Spill) while building and exploring their own identity throughout.
