The Premiums

Since the fall of 2009, the four funky lads in The Premiums have been making music to dance to all around the Midwest. Vocalist Caleb Nordhaugen, guitarist Kevin Israel, and drummer Brett Miller solidified their music-making goals when they joined bassist Alex Hamberger in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 2011. A music editor for City Pages noted in 2013, "The Premiums bring a truly funky sound that gets people on their feet and dancing, mixing high energy rhythms from Jamaica to Motown." So far, the band has written, recorded, and released a 7-track self-titled EP, and has just put out a special limited edition 7" release, which hit the streets on Record Store Day 2014.
