The Mend

“Race The Horizon”, are a three-piece vocal group from the Manchester, United Kingdom, comprising of Jay Kontzle, Craig Worsley and Kris Evans. The boys have been friends for 8 years. Originally part of a four-piece vocal group, they auditioned for X Factor in 2011 but they were cut despite being favourites, due to their management contract. In 2012, they went on to Britain’s Got Talent and reached the finals night. They were strongly tipped to win it outright. Following this, the boys went on to work with major writers & producers, had a Top-40 single and toured with Little Mix. Being so young at the beginning of the journey took its toll on the boys so they decided they would take a break from the industry to pursue other things in their lives. However, the draw of there first love in life, music, was too much & Kris, Craig & Jay got back together as RTH in 2015, teaming up with their manager Alan Gray. They have found their own sound and style, writing and producing their own music. This new music blends soul and funk with urban elements, & sits in New School R'n'B genre. Along with writing & producing their debut album themselves, the boys have brought in multi platinum album sales & legendary music producer's Elliot Kennedy, from the Steelworks in Sheffield UK & Brian Kennedy, from Los Angeles, California to complete the album. RTH will release the first single from this album in the summer of 2016.
