The Little Birds

The Little Birds are a collaborative singer/songwriter duo - Jenna Heerdt and Emily Douglas. These two have been performing music together since 2008. The pair began in the music program at North Central College in Naperville, Illinois, studying vocal jazz under Janice Borla. Discovering they have very similar musical interests, they began singing other genres, exploring how well their voices blend, improvising, and enjoying a variety of music together. From 2013 -2019, Jenna and Emily were involved with a rock group called Oblio and Arrow where they performed at many venues in the Chicagoland area and recorded on the album, Steps. They continue to perform with the members of this group through multiple projects, especially with band-mate Mike Krieglstein's project, K-Nein.

Currently Jenna and Emily are working to complete a 14-track album, How You've Grown, expected to be released in August 2020. This album includes full-band renditions of the songs they've played acoustically for the past decade.
